Feastfox app launches in Cape Town

Published on August 10, 2017

Feastfox, a spontaneous eating out app, has launched in Cape Town, South Africa.

Feastfox is for that moment when you decide “let’s eat out”. You open up the app and it shows you restaurants that have a table available right now. You can discover new spots near you using the slick map view and explore them in the beautifully designed interface. It also shows you who has treats available, with many of them exclusively available through the app. You book a table with the tap of a button and head on over.

Whether you’re craving a flat white in the morning, a healthy and delicious lunch between two meetings or an incredible fine dining experience, Feastfox has a feast for every occasion.

Feastfox launches in collaboration with over 60 of Cape Town’s best restaurants, bars and cafés including Reuben’s, Kyoto Gardens Sushi, La Boheme, Nobu, Culture Club Cheese, Clarke’s, Hokey Poke, Scheckter’s Raw and Shio.

Co-founder and Cape Town local, Stuart Murless explains, “with a busy lifestyle, I never had time to plan ahead and make bookings. I wanted something which fits into the way I eat out, which is generally on impulse. With Feastfox, we are moving from the traditional “book now, eat later” concept to “book now, eat now”. This way you can go from craving to feasting with the tap of a button.”

Feastfox has roots in Silicon Valley, Budapest and Cape Town.

“We picked Cape Town for the launch because of the high concentration of incredible restaurants, the sophistication of the local dining out scene and the openness to new, mobile solutions.” – added Stuart.

The launch area includes the CBD, V&A Waterfront, De Waterkant, Green Point, Sea Point, Gardens, Vredehoek & Tamboerskloof.
